I got my cop seat for Rodney, from Kickstart back during BikeWeek.
Today, I finally got it mounted.  Lots of stuff gets in the way,
including not having tools at the Cabin, not being at the Cabin long
enough to get started and finished in the same day/week/month, riding
instead of wrenching, etc...

The major tuit in the way was wanting to do it right with the nutserts
installed correctly.  Let me tell you right here and right now... THAT
IS NOT THE WAY TO DO IT.  But having just said that, it's what I did.  I
would recommend hardened bolts/nuts with lock washers for anyone needing
to re-visit this type of installation.  Everything can be gotten to with
the right tools.

Back to my nutsert...  <insert high-school comments here>.  Since I
didn't have the nutsert installation tool, and NONE of the Harley
Dealers within 150 miles didn't either, and none of the body shops
within 150 miles didn't either.. (body shops use these regularly but
either metric or smaller sizes).

So do it the old fashioned way,,, hardened bolt/nut and piece of steel
(roughly 1" wide by 1/8" thick by whatever length you can find) with a
5/16th hole drilled in the end.  Found the steel at the local tractor
supply... 3' long and I really didn't feel like hackin' my way through
it to shorten it, so I laid it against a chair.  Worked like a charm,
since I didn't have to hold it, but I did have to hold the head of the
bolt tight so it wouldn't turn while I cranked down on the nut.  Total
time... about 10 minutes, I did stop to have some beer after the first
one.
